As a lot of people are in professional and financial roles, there are also many working in administrative and secretarial positions in every sector. That said, there is always a need for skilled and unskilled labour, which means there is no shortage of jobs in the city.

Theatre, art, music and media is a large part of the Glaswegian culture. It is home to 124 TV production companies and is responsible for just over 80 per cent of Scotland’s TV turnover.

The Scottish city is a relatively affordable city to live in, with a pint of beer being £1 or £2 cheaper than the likes of Manchester and London. Also, with more restaurants, pop-ups and cafes than anyone’s ever likely to need, Glasgow is foodie heaven, catering to carnivores and vegans alike. It is said that Glasgow is the vegan capital of Britain. A three-bedroom flat in the city centre rents for around £1,300 per month.
