Job DescriptionDo you have what it takes to be a Team Leader with Securitas? We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Team Leader to join our dynamic team on a Permanent basis. This role is perfect for anyone who is looking to stay within the Security industry. Your key purpose is to take responsibility for the effective and efficient supervision of Gallery Assistants. The Team Leader works as a member of a wider management of the Visitor Services and Security team at one of the countries most beautiful buidlings which hosts one of the worlds most impressive collections of art. As a Team Leader you will ensure all visitors experience a very high level of customer service while maintaining the integrity and safety of the public, exhibition, building and staff. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: To actively and positively supervise a team of Gallery Assistants ensuring all duties are carried out in accordance with procedures and policies and ensure compliance with legal requirements including the Data Protection Act and Health and Safety at Work Act. To ensure Gallery Assistants report for duty as required ensuring that all posts within designated area are covered at point of opening escalating any issues immediately to the Duty Managers office. To ensure required uniform standards are maintained and correct working equipment is issued. To provide first-line supervisory response to incidents in public areas including an effective response to room alarm activations. To address customer issues as they arise taking ownership and effectively resolving where able. To carry out daily picture checks as needed thus working to ensure the safety of the collection. To ensure staffing levels within the team are maintained ensuring liaison with the Scheduling Coordinator as necessary. To co-ordinate the daily rotation of posts for the team with respect to tasks and breaks and conduct regular post visits to monitor performance and welfare. At all times, to supervise the conduct of the team (to include ability to complete tasks, attitude and behaviour) and ensure all personnel are briefed, trained to the required standard and subject to regular effective performance monitoring. To carry out annual performance reviews (including discussion and written reports) for team members including deputies. To closely liaise with the Duty Manager/ Security regarding operational matters cascading to team members where required. To actively monitor the Gallery for H&S and Security issues escalating accordingly and ensuring that all faults are reported appropriately. To complete accurate Incident/accident reports when required and maintain an accurate records of events. To conduct lateness interviews and complete relevant administration working to reduce occurrences . To be conversant with Gallery's policy and procedures and monitor and provide positive supervision for welfare and conduct of officers for whom responsible including timely reporting and escalating of issues as necessary. Ensure the team performs to a high standard in guarding the collection and building and offering excellent and professional visitor service to the public. To participate in Visitor Service staff training and ensure team members attend all relevant training modules as required. To act in accordance to the Securitas values of Helpfulness, Integrity and Vigilance. Undertake any other tasks as identified by the Duty Managers and Head of Operations being for the good and benefit of the service to the customer, and deemed to be appropriate or necessary to the post. This role ensures that through the management of people Securitas provide of a high standard of visitor service and maintain the integrity and safety of all assets, buildings, staff and visitors of the gallery.
