Your new role You will be working as a supported housing officer on a temporary basis. You will be working full time in the Leicester and Grantham area. As a supported housing officer you will be carrying out tenancy sign ups, collecting rent and dealing with ASB when necessary. As a supported housing officer you will be managing a patch of properties and will inspect properties, ensuring they are up to standards and reporting any repairs when necessary. As a supported housing officer you will carry out housing management, ensuring tenants are aware of their tenancy contract, income management and dealing with any advice or queries around tenants housing. you will also offer supportive and excellent housing advice, ensuring a first class housing management service. What you'll need to succeed You will need to have an Enhanced DBS and / Or on the update service. Also as a successful supported housing officer you must have previous experience in a similar role in a social or housing association background is essential, as is a good understanding of landlord health and safety responsibilities, and the issues involved in monitoring rent payments, housing benefit claims, and dealing effectively with arrears. Experience of managing tenancies in a supported housing environment would be an advantage.
