Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated customer facing Solutions Architects. We are looking for a Solutions Architect with experience in the tools used transform how companies design, plan and operate their environments. These tools are core in the transformation of the IT systems, have impacts on the entire value chain of the applications, and provide - through automation - a unique opportunity for increasing business agility, limiting operational expenses, and securing critical information.Management tools impact the entire IT life cycle:· Planning and deployment of IT systems (with tools such as AWS CloudFormation or external solutions such as HashiCorp Terraform)· Configuration management (AWS OpsWorks, Chef, Puppet, RedHat Ansible)· Management, patch and automation (AWS Simple Systems Manager), Monitoring (Amazon CloudWatch, Splunk)· Enterprise provisioning and service management (AWS Service Catalog, AWS Managed Services, ServiceNow)Specialist Solutions Architects are industry experts in their field, focused on providing state-of-the art solutions and practices to customers and the entire AWS field organization. From deep technical architecture to company-wide process and practices definition, they are involved in the strategic environments of AWS' most demanding customers. From on-the-job learning experiences to formal development programs, our professionals have a variety of opportunities to continue to grow throughout their career.Roles and responsibilities· As a key member of the business development teams, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services onto the AWS platform· Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud· Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community· Author or contribute to the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices· Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customer accounts to enable them to be “Cloud advocates”· Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and supportBasic qualifications· Possess customer-facing skills to represent AWS well within the customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding best practices, cloud native architectures, project management, and risk mitigation.· Exhibit strong verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to lead effectively across different types of organizations.· Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment.· 5+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of large scale systems and applications· Experience designing, deploying, managing, or automating complex IT systems· Working knowledge of systems automation and management toolsPreferred qualification · Technical degree preferred; Computer Science or relevant degree highly desired· History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises· High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations· Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly· Experience in implementing ITIL processes or knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks· Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps· Experience in IT outsourcing management
