If so, then join us and we can be outstanding together! JOIN OUR LOWER THAMES CROSSING PROJECT TEAM IN LONDON In Tunnel and Underground Infrastructure, you will become part of COWI's Tunnels unit. Tunnel & Underground Infrastructure has hundreds of skilled experts worldwide and have one of the largest infrastructure departments in the world. We are experienced in all types of tunnels and infrastructure in sectors ranging from railways, highways, metros to energy and power, and we cover the entire lifecycle of a project from idea, concept and design to operation and maintenance. The Lower Thames Crossing is the single biggest roads investment project since the M25 was completed more than 30 years ago. It will form a vital part of the UK's transport infrastructure and will help businesses large and small to grow and bring people and communities closer to job, education and leisure opportunities. It will connect Essex and Kent and almost double road capacity across the Thames east of London. EXTEND YOUR POTENTIAL WITHIN A TEAM OF EXPERTS In this position, you will work closely with the Ground Investigation Employers Agent. Your primary role will be to ensure the smooth operation of the commercial function by planning and monitoring activities and deliverables. On a day to day basis, you will: * Support Highways England representatives and GI Employers Agent in procurement and contract management ground investigation works. * In conjunction with the GI Employers Agent, provide Employer's Agent services and/ or project management services to the client and undertake all the commercial functions in connection with the contract administration of a NEC3 based contracts (or other civil engineering forms of contracts) including early warning process, risk management, and compensation events. * Provide adhoc commercial and contractual advice on matters relating to contracts including input of contract expenditures and cost estimates/ forecast into monthly reports/ dashboard. * Attend meetings with contractors and consultants engaged by the client and act as an agent or representative of the client. * In conjunction with the GI Employers Agent and other engineering staff, prepare tender and pricing documents to obtain tenders, undertake review of invoices and payment requests submitted by contractors and consultants, make recommendations for authorisation of invoices. * Undertake review and agree changes and variations in conjunction and project manage the deliverables of the contractors/ consultants, ensuring that all activities are planned, and progress is monitored and reported on. Furthermore, you shall: * Be a Chartered Surveyor with experience of using the NEC3 form of contract in a client facing contract management role. * Have worked in a similar role on the procurement phase of a large infrastructure project and in a fast-paced project environment with competing demands for time, budget and resources. * Possess strong project management / task management skills, demonstrable skills in working methodically to organise, track and follow-up of actions and priorities. * Have high level of competence with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with high proficiency in information management systems (including document control and e-tendering) * Possess Strong interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working under different styles of leadership/getting things done.
