Your new role
You will be working in a centre and a house which has beds for a number of ex-offenders who have been approved for probation. You will be involved in the assessment of new service users, will create Support Plans, Facilitate and participate in group work with service users, Promote and encourage independence and assist and encourage service users to develop life skills e.g. cooking, cleaning and personal care. You will also accompany service users to meetings/appointments as and when required and will support service users to complete paperwork when required e.g. benefits, housing, school etc.
What you'll need to succeed
- 4 GCSE's A-C including English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- 2 years' experience of working within in social care dealing with challenging behaviours.
- Ability to demonstrate in application form/at interview - communication skills verbal/non-verbal.
- I.T. competent, including use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Registered with NISCC
