A growing security company is seeking a Prison Custody Officer to join its team, based in Willoughby. As a Custody Officer your duties will include:
Working closely with various teams, you will have several key responsibilities that assist prisoner’s reform.
First and foremost, making sure the environment is safe and secure with every prisoner accounted for each day.
You will also play a key role in giving offenders structure and routine, making sure they get to work in the morning, are actively engaging in education, the daily regimes and are secure in their cell in the evening.
The role is challenging; no two days will be the same, but the job reaps rewards when you can see that you have made a real difference to a person’s life.

You must be eligible to work in the UK and must have been resident in the UK for a minimum period of 3 years.
You will also need to provide full details of your employment and education history for the last 10 years as part of the security screening process for this role.
Training; once you have passed the selection and vetting process, you will attend a local 10-week Initial Training Course (ITC). You will gain training on Control and Restraint, First Aid, Health and Safety, a BTEC qualification in Custodial Care and have the opportunity of being part of our Apprenticeship Programme.
In return, the Custody Officer will receive a salary of £23,772.89 - £25,090.53 per annum plus excellent benefits.
