An outstanding Greenwich school are working with Career Teachers to recruit two primary teachers for permanent positions starting in September 2020. The school are able to start recruiting early , as they have two members of staff who will be relocating at the end of this academic year. The year groups for next year haven't been decided at this stage, which means that the successful teacher's preferences and experience can be taken into account, with other staff willing to change year groups if required. Therefore, the positions could be suitable for anyone with KS1 or KS2 experience, whether you are newly qualified or experienced and seeking a new challenge. As this is a two-form entry school, you will be able to share planning with a year partner and will have PPA release together. In addition, there are specialist teachers for PE, French and Music.

The school encourages pupils to develop a love of learning and the learning environments support this fully. Pupils at the school are keen to learn and demonstrate the school's core values in everything they do. The school has happy and supportive staff and you will be made to feel welcome and a member of the team. CPD is very effective, with weekly staff training and development, as well as access to personalized opportunities, including middle and senior leader training. Similarly, the school have very clear induction procedures, which will allow you to feel supported and quickly understand the school's values, ideals and policies.

You will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), after completing a PGCE, Graduate Teaching Program (GTP), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), QTLS or equivalent overseas teaching qualification
Have prior experience of teaching in KS1 or KS2 (NQTs should refer to their placement experience when applying)
Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of the primary National Curriculum
Have a thorough working knowledge of assessment for learning strategies
Be able to enthuse pupils through engaging and interactive lessons
Have a dedicated and creative approach when planning lessons and delivering learning activities
Differentiate effectively, ensuring that the needs of all learners are met, including those pupils on the EAL and SEN registers
Promote positive behaviour and use a range of behaviour management strategies effectively
Have a positive work ethic, demonstrating a commitment to your own development and a willingness to share good practice
Create a fun, safe and inspiring learning environment, setting high expectations of achievement, supporting children to reach their full potential
