The group is actively seeking a low-latency Java Software Engineer with 1-5 years experience to work on their core low-latency trading engine. You will work in a small and open office and will be liaising directly with the quant trading teams to optimize their proprietary platform and the efficiency of trading strategies. Widely regarded as one of the leading quant trading firms in the world, this is a fantastic opportunity for a high-frequency/low-latency Java engineer to collaborate with some of the best minds within the quant trading industry. The individual in this role will be a part of a small, dynamic trading group and will work directly with traders to design, build, and test cutting-edge low latency trading systems and strategies.
This individual will be required to improve, and redesign low latency trading systems, alongside optimizing the platform. The candidate should be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. There will be leadership opportunities on several Greenfield projects too.Desired Skills & E years experience in Core Java programming
Excellent mathematical aptitude – understanding of complex algorithms and data structures
Educated to at least Bachelor-Level in Computer Science, Engineering or a highly quantitative/technical subject
Excellent understanding of distributed/highly concurrent systems is a plus
Excellent understanding of low-latency systems/high-transaction environments
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple high-profile projects
