Job DescriptionUser Support (Windows 10, MAC IOS) : * Supporting Head Office staff at all levels, ranging from adding printers to resolving software, hardware and wireless/network connectivity issues * Providing support to meeting room users and ensuring meeting room A/V equipment and Macs are operational * Building custom spec PCs for the Development Team and providing hardware support where needed, assisting with fault-finding and ordering / fitting replacement parts and upgrades * Preparing and rebuilding PCs and laptops for use by staff as required * Installing job-specific programs required by some staff (Sage, Access Accounts, Visio) * Liaising with third party on patching of network ports and switches * Managing remote user VPN access * Managing and assigning IP addresses for other fixed-IP devices (Printers, Projectors, security cameras etc.) Server Support (Windows 2 dealing with the following: * Active Directory * Exchange * Permissions * Group Policy * Managing and maintaining the servers (with third party support) - Windows Virtual Servers (VMWARE) * Sophos Enterprise Console * Palo Alto Traps * Verba Call Recording * Cisco Firesight * Powershell Telephony Support (Skype for Business) * Creating user accounts * Creating and managing hunt and call groups within Skype for Business * Managing IVR / call menus and greetings * Changing team availability / opening hours * Liaising with telecoms providers when needed * Managing the Verba Call Recording system Other tasks * Remote support to staff on other sites including occasional site visits if needed * Assisting with office moves * Internet usage monitoring as needed Requirements and prospects Desired skills IT aptitude is preferred Personal qualities * Trustworthy * Friendly * Presentable * Professional * Organised * Motivated Desired qualifications * GCSEs at grades C/4 or above in English and maths or equivalent Future prospects * Guaranteed, as long as the employee completes his apprenticeship and is a good fit (We've taken on all our previous apprentices full time) Things to consider This vacancy is to start immediately therefore you must be available to start before applying. For example, if you already have a Level 4 qualification you still may be able to complete an apprenticeship at any level providing you meet the eligibility criteria and are learning substantive new skills.
