Job DescriptionSalary: Up to £22,000 depending on skills and experience Contract type: Permanent The CAA is the UK's aviation regulator, responsible for keeping passengers and the general public safe. The Role We are transforming a number of our key technology services. This includes building major new services for our customers, adopting mature new ways of working including Agile and DevOps, and exploiting new cloud-based capabilities in Microsoft Azure and Gov PaaS. As a Service Desk Analyst, you will be responsible for providing a high degree of IT related customer service for all support queries, taking ownership of user problems and being proactive when dealing with user issues in line with business policies and processes. Your responsibilities will include: * Providing IT (laptops, tablets, mobiles) and telephony (Skype for Business) support to our end users * Responding to incidents, service requests and enquiries, including face-to-face support and support via remote access * Ensuring all queries to the Service Desk are logged in our Service Management tool and responded to within a timely manner * Providing 1st line support for the Office 365 suite of applications and other bespoke inhouse platforms * Assisting in running checks and providing daily IT checklist reports relating to system applications, AV equipment and IT infrastructure * Meet personal and team efficiency and quality targets About You The role involves a high level of interaction and collaboration with different teams, 3rd party suppliers and business users so you will need good social skills, with experience of collaboration and providing excellent customer engagement. Key skills/experience: * Good knowledge of Windows 7 and/or Windows 10 * Proficient using common Microsoft applications * Experience of mobile device operating system features, specifically Android and iOS * Ability to explain and convey technical information to non-technical colleagues * Positive, hardworking and encouraging individual * Ability to take ownership of and progress incidents to resolution * Willingness and desire to learn and develop personal skills If you have an interest in IT support services and the willingness to develop new skills within this function, we would be delighted to hear from you!
