A leading food consultancy offering support and advice to the International Food Industry. This role is working closely with the group who focus on food quality and characteristics or food including appearance, odour, taste and texture. The Home Economist will be tasting food from an informed consumer perspective. This role will support projects looking at product evaluation, benchmarking and marketplace surveys. The Home Economist will support food manufacturing with respect to food development and consumer and sensory evaluation training and undertake desk research though magazines and knowledge of the food industry. You will also support seminars and conferences for the food industry clients. The successful Home Economist will have a food science/Technology/Home Economy or related degree with some experience within industry (food retail or manufacturing) either as a placement year or in a post graduate role. You will be a creative individual and be part of a team leading product development within their industry sector. A clean driving licence is essential, a food hygiene certificate would be desirable. Not only this but the right Home Economist will be a great communicator with organisation skills, a high level of computer literacy and a passion for food!
