The Exciting Opportunity The position of Guest Service Assistant has become available at Holiday Inn Express, Middlesbrough. Reporting into the Duty Management Team, you will be responsible for ensuring all guests have an great experience including a warm welcome and friendly farewell. We are looking for someone who can communicate well with others, can carry out instructions, is able to pay close attention to detail and will commit to providing outstanding service to our guests. Experience of hotels and/or customer service is preferable but full training is provided. Role Responsibilities: * Work within the team on duty to ensure that all brand standards are met and at the heart of all decisions. Your responsibility is to ensure that each guest has a problem free stay, allowing them to check in/out, order food and/or drink without any issues so they can relax and enjoy their time at our hotel. * Be fully conversant with and ensure all 'shift procedures' are carried out during your shift (either Early or Late) within the Front Office, Bar and Kitchen area. This includes following procedures for opening shifts, cash handling, security, telephone policy, cashing up and closing a shift. * Responsibility must be taken for any problems or queries that arise during your shift, to either resolve them yourself or seek assistance from the Guest Service Manager on duty. * Be fully aware of the hotel product, facilities and services available in all departments and all relevant cost and prices. Observe the lobby and Hotel entrance areas and rectify any faults of tidiness and cleanliness.
