How you'll make a difference * To protect the interests of customers, colleagues and the Principality Group (Principality, Commercial and Nemo) from the risk of financial crime by providing management information to support Principality Group financial crime risk management, responding to formal information requests and completing financial crime screening activities. * Pro-actively review data created by the Financial Crime Monitoring team to identify areas of interest for further investigation and reporting (i.e. high risk transactions and suspicious activity). * Produce reports for senior stakeholders (Financial Crime Risk Owners) communicating management information essential for the effective management of Financial Crime risk across the Principality Group. * Liaise with law enforcement / regulators and research and respond to formal requests for information on behalf of the Principality Group. * Assess customer identification documents referred for on boarding / servicing and, as appropriate, issue exceptions for non-standard documents and high risk alerts in accordance with the Principality Group Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Policy. * Undertake screening activities and escalate high risk customer matches for further investigation and risk assessment. * Support the daily operation of the Financial Crime Monitoring team by receiving and recording referrals from colleagues across the Principality Group. What you'll bring to the role * Pro-actively review data created by the Financial Crime Monitoring team to identify areas of interest for further investigation and reporting (i.e. high risk transactions and suspicious activity). * Liaise with law enforcement / regulators and research and respond to formal requests for information on behalf of the Principality Group. * Assess customer identification documents referred for on boarding / servicing and, as appropriate, issue exceptions for non-standard documents or high risk alerts in accordance with the Principality Group Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Policy. TECHNICAL SKILLS * Good working knowledge of Microsoft operating system including the Microsoft Office package. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE * Financial Crime prevention or Financial Services experience. * Experience of using customer databases and reporting tools. * Experience of communicating with internal and external stakeholders. COMPETENCIES * Knowledge of Financial Services products (including savings accounts and mortgage products). * Knowledge of Financial Services Customer Due Diligence (CDD) requirements. * Knowledge of Data Protection Principles. * Good numeracy and literacy skills. * Able to handle sensitive information/intelligence in a discreet manner.
