The post holder may be required at times to work outside his/her normal working hours for the effective performance of the duties of the post LOCATION: Collins Aerospace 2 Moor Road Kilkeel Co Down BT34 4NG Key Purpose As a member of the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team, reporting to the EHS Manager, the EHS Intern will be responsible for developing, maintaining and executing environmental, health & safety activities and projects in order to improve the company's EHS management systems; in addition to providing a support service to the EHS department. Main Duties + Work within a manufacturing environment to ensure conformity and continual improvement to our accredited energy, environmental and health & safety management systems: + OHSAS 18001 + ISO 14001 + ISO 50001 + Liaise with external auditors and regulators on environmental, health & safety matters + Support the EHS team with the running of our waste management contract + Promote EHS programmes, initiatives and awareness days across the business + Compile and provide reports including supporting the development of statistics, targets and objectives as required + Other duties as deemed appropriate Key Attributes The successful candidate will have + Enthusiasm and be self motivated to achieve results + Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to influence colleagues at all levels of the business + Strong planning and prioritisation skills + Strong problem solving skills + A focus on accuracy and attention to detail Essential Criteria + Studying towards a degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, Science, Business or other relevant discipline + Excellent IT skills, competent in a range of IT packages + Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills Desirable Criteria + Knowledge of Health & Safety, energy efficiency and environmental projects within industry + Knowledge of health and safety, environmental and energy legislation For any queries regarding this role please contact Your personal data is collected and processed by B/E Aerospace, Kilkeel (the "Company") for recruitment purposes only.
