With the continued growth of the Roche pipeline and our dedicated commitment to delivering Personalized Healthcare (PHC) we have opportunities for an exceptional real world data scientist (s) at multiple levels to join the Data Science team within our PHC function.

As a Real World Data Scientist in the Oncology group you will be a key strategic partner in multi-disciplinary teams, working with colleagues based both locally and globally to bring innovative medicines to patients. You will be responsible for providing technical real world data expertise on areas such as scientific advice, knowledge exchange, epidemiological/observational research, regulatory and HTA RWD strategy. Through your role you will support R&D, advance scientific and medical knowledge, and enable personalized patient care and access across Roche. Your research may be used in reimbursement dossiers, regulatory filings, publications and others. You will contribute to functional, cross-functional, enterprise-wide or external initiatives that shape our business and healthcare environments.

This position will require a good understanding of molecule and disease area strategies, healthcare environments, as well as strong scientific and technical expertise in observational research. You will need strong strategic, collaboration and communication skills, as well as an entrepreneurial mindset, to transform the way we use data and analytics to develop and deliver medicines for our patients.

You will have the opportunities to discuss ideas and collaborate with our growing community of data scientists, as well as with key academics with whom we are partnering with.


You have qualifications that have given you the strong basis for your career so far (e.g. MSc or PhD in a quantitative data science discipline (e.g., epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, biostatistics, public health, etc.) coupled with a demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and self-direction, ability to teach others and willingness to learn new techniques and successfully implement new strategies and ideas.

To be successful in these roles you will need to show a proven ability for using real world evidence for decision-making for R&D, regulatory and/or health care systems.
