Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to recruit a specialist CAMHS trained clinician to join core Level 3 CYPS (CAMHS) services. We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Level 3 team and provide a clinical leadership role to deliver Partnership/treatment work within a strong community MDT team. The post holder will help to reduce our current waiting times for treatment and ensure all children and young people are able to access specialist mental health services in a responsive and timely way. The successful candidate will have the necessary professional based transferable skills and knowledge to be confident in delivering standardized treatment packages within a clinic setting under the supervision of senior staff. Experience within a hospital and community environment would be beneficial. As a specialist practitioner, the post holder will have the necessary profession based clinical skills to manage a caseload of children and young people who have complex and high risk mental health needs.T he successful candidate will have the necessary specialist professional based skills and knowledge to complete complex CAMHS assessments and clinical formulation as well as undertake complex CYPS clinical risk assessments and subsequent management. In order to meet referral-treatment waiting times, CYPS is implementing a clinic based system for CHOICE and Partnership provision to ensure all Level 3 clinicians access weekly clinic based supervision from specialist CYPS colleagues, including medics. Key elements of the job include: * Provide a range ofspecialist CYPS assessment and treatment interventions in line with the Choice & Partnership Approach (CAPA) system for children and young people as well as their families/carers who present with emotional and mental health difficulties * Providing clinical leadership within the team * Providing Care Coordinator responsibilities for a caseload of children and young people presenting with complex and high risk mental health issues. There will be a specific focus upon providing specialist clinical assessment, formulation and treatment, including Self Harm assessments where the Voice of the Child is embedded within personalised care planning * Opportunities to contribute to a priority treatment pathway for those children and young people presenting with high risk, safeguarding or other vulnerability needs. * Demonstrating significant experience in providing high quality clinical supervision to CYPS/CAMHS staff * Ability to lead projects or other clinical based initiatives as part of delivering innovative and high quality services to children and young people. * Demonstrating a commitment to ensuring routine outcome measures are embedded within clinical practice to demonstrate clinical based improvements for children, young people and parents/carers.
