Which is where you come in.What you will be doingUmicore Coating Services develops and supplies precision optical coatings for thermal imaging applications, for high power industrial lasers, and for precision filter coatings for gas detection.  As Commercial Manager you are responsible for identifying growth in our markets and capturing new business to create double digit growth. You target growing revenues and solid profitability in mainly the UK and European markets. You structure and manage the multi-layered relationship with the customer, involving technical interactions and program management. Manage the Sales department with day to day operations.The position focuses on generating healthy profitability at the existing customer base, and identifying opportunities for growth in a market that is evolving fast. You support the strategic and budgetary planning of the business line.You work within a multi-disciplinary and multi-national team.Who we are looking forYou possess a minimum qualification of a technical degree and have built up experience in a commercial role in, preferably optics, industry.You are fluent in English, knowledge of French, German is a valuable asset.You have a good understanding of Optical Manufacturing processes, Quality Standards, and application domains of the highly technical products and their use.You have a strong affinity with numbers and financial metricsYou are a strategic thinker, results driven, motivated and able to motivate and influence and lead a team in a complex matrix organization.You have a creative approach and excellent problem solving skills.With your strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and spoken) you relate well with different profiles and in different cultures.You have strong networking, influencing, negotiation and advanced technical sales skills.You value integrity, openness and teamwork.
